Media Filters or commonly known as clean air filters, are designed to remove air contaminants down to .3 microns. Typically, it consists of 100% synthetic electrostatic fibers that trap even the smallest particle size. Unlike a traditional air conditioning filter a high quality Home air filter removes atmospheric and household dust, coal dust, insecticide dust, mites, pollen, mold spores, fungi, bacteria, pet dander, smoke particles, and cooking grease. They protect and prolong the operation and efficiency of the heating and cooling equipment. Normally, this furnace air filter will fit snug and not allow for air gaps, therefore maximizing the systems ability to clean the air. Some features include reversible air flow, easily replaced, durable frame, and most media filters offer a minimum MERV 10 rating.
